BFF Academy Football Team Secures Spot in Tianwu Liufang Cup Final

Lijiang: BFF Academy Football team U-17 reached the final of the Second Tianwu Liufang Cup by defeating Henan Provincial Experimental High School Football team U-17 with a convincing 4-0 victory in the semifinal held today in Lijiang, China.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BFF Academy team will face Wuhan U-17 China team in the final match scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue, with the kickoff set for 1 pm Bangladesh time. The team showcased their dominance in the semifinal, taking an early lead with Raihanul Islam's goal in the 13th minute. The lead was extended by Tahsam Khan, who scored in the 17th minute, while Topon Hossain further widened the margin with a goal just before halftime. Mohammad Hedayet Ullah completed the scoring with the fourth goal after the break.

Earlier in the tournament, the BFF Academy boys exhibited strong performances, defeating hosts Shenyang U-17 with a score of 4-0 in their opening group-stage match and overpowering the Sri Lanka Academy Football U-17 team with an 8-0 victory in the second match. Despite a 1-0 defeat to Wuhan China U-17 in their final group match, which resulted in them finishing as group runners-up, the team secured their place in the semifinals by beating Shanghai Yanggpu District Amateur Sports Center U-17 with a 3-1 win in the quarterfinal.
