Best Possible Services Must Be Ensured for Hajj Pilgrims: Kaikobad

Dhaka: Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad emphasized the importance of ensuring optimal services for Hajj pilgrims as the Hajj of 2026 approaches. He highlighted the necessity for all related activities to be conducted in a smooth and well-organized manner.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Minister conveyed these remarks during a view-exchange meeting with the executive committee of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) on Hajj and Umrah management. The meeting took place this morning at the conference room of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. He stressed that all necessary activities for proper Hajj management should be completed rapidly, ensuring a straightforward and hassle-free journey for pilgrims.



The Minister further emphasized the need to prevent any hardship for pilgrims, drawing on the successful management of the previous Hajj season. He expressed optimism that this year’s Hajj operations would be conducted with equal efficiency and smoothness. He called on all involved parties to remain sincere and committed to these goals.



Earlier in the meeting, HAB Secretary General Farid Ahmed Mazumder presented several recommendations and observations concerning Hajj and Umrah management. He also put forward some demands on behalf of the organization. The Minister listened attentively to these proposals, assuring that necessary steps would be taken in line with existing regulations, and no actions would be outside the legal framework.



The meeting was attended by Religious Affairs Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad, Additional Secretary (Hajj) Md Ayatul Islam, Additional Secretary (Budget and Grant) Md Fazlur Rahman, Joint Secretary (Hajj) Dr Manzurul Haque, HAB President Syed Golam Sarwar, and other senior officials and members of the HAB executive committee.
