Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists allegedly vandalized the office of Barguna’s Patharghata upazila unit BNP on Saturday morning.
A total of eight BNP activists were injured in this attack, said Chowduhry MD Faruk, convenor of Patharghata upazila BNP.
The injured are Masum Billah, Md Harun-ur Rashid, Khairul Sharif, Masum Billah, A. Hadid, Hafiz Alamgir, Mizanur Rahman and Abbas Uddin.
Several attempts were made to contact the president of Patharghata upazila Chhatra League, Md Walid Makki and president of municipality, Ahmed Shahjada, but they could not be reached.
Md. Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Patharghata police station, said the incident could not escalate further because police were present.
