BCL brings out procession hailing PM for country’s graduation from LDC

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) today staged a
joy rally congratulating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for attaining United
Nations’ (UN) recommendation for Bangladesh’s graduation from Least Developed
Country (LDC) status.

Leaders and activists of BCL, led by its President Al Nahian Khan Joy and
General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, brought out the rally from Raju
Memorial Sculpture of TSC on DU campus this afternoon.

Later, the marchers paraded key points of the university.

While addressing, Al Nahian said, “It is a great achievement for
Bangladesh on the occasion of its golden jubilee”. The country was a
terrorist-state and remained champion in corruption index for long but the
scenario has changed now, he said.

The country is forwarding ahead tremendously under the dynamic and
visionary Leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina which is now role model
of development, he furthered.

DU unit general secretary and former DUCSU assistant general secretary
Saddam Hussein, leaders and activists of different units of the body took
part in the procession.
