Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the squad for the Asia Cup to be held in the UAE next month. This will also be the team for the three-match T20 international series against the Netherlands in Sylhet starting on 30 August.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has received a call-up to the Bangladesh T20 side after almost three years. The 31-year-old had last appeared in this version in November 2022 during the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
Following the series against the Netherlands, the Bangladesh team will travel to Dubai to participate in the Asia Cup. The squad for these international engagements includes notable players such as Liton Das, who will serve as the captain, and other prominent names like Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed.
The full squad list is as follows: Liton Das (Captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Shamim Hossain Patwari, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Md Saifuddin.
