Bank Staff Killed in Dhaka Road Crash

Dhaka: A 35-year-old man was killed after being crushed between two buses while crossing the road in the Badda Link Road area of the capital on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Abul Kashem Azad, a staff member of UCB Bank’s Khilkhet branch, and the son of Abul Kalam Azad from Faridganj upazila in Chandpur district. He resided with his family in the Khilkhet area.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the incident was reported by Inspector Md Faruk, the in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp. The accident occurred around 6:15 pm when Abul Kashem was caught between two buses, ‘Raida Paribahan’ and ‘Victor Paribahan’, while attempting to cross the road, resulting in serious injuries.



Following the incident, Abul Kashem was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have since seized the two buses involved in the accident.
