Bangladesh’s Gross Forex Reserves Rise to $36.27bn

Dhaka: Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves stood at US$36.27 billion (gross), according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank (BB) today. The rise in reserves highlights the country's ongoing efforts to stabilize its economy and maintain a healthy balance of payments.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the country's gross foreign exchange reserves reached US$36.27 billion. Meanwhile, reserves calculated under the IMF's BPM6 methodology were recorded at US$31.36 billion. This distinction in reserve calculations reflects different accounting standards and methodologies used to assess the economic health of a nation.
