Bangladeshi Hafez Anas Becomes World Champion in Hifzul Quran Competition

Cairo: Bangladeshi Hafez Anas Bin Atiq has become the world champion in the International Hifzul Quran competition held in Egypt. Hafez Anas secured first place in the 32nd International Hifzul Quran Competition, which took place in Cairo from December 6 to December 10, 2025.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, competitors from 70 countries participated in the event alongside Egyptian contenders. At just 14 years old, Anas was awarded 600,000 Egyptian pounds, equivalent to about Taka 17 lakh, along with a certificate for his achievement.



Hafez Anas Bin Atiq was chosen by the Islamic Foundation’s Religious Promotion and Culture Department on October 7 to represent Bangladesh in the competition. Anas is a student at Markazut Tahfiz International Madrasa in Dhaka and is the son of Atiqur Rahman and Nasima Rahman from Brahmanbaria.
