Bangladesh to Commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities with Three-Day Fair

Dhaka: Bangladesh will observe the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 27th National Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. The observance will align with this year's UN theme: "Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress."

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a three-day disability development fair will be held from December 3-5 at the National Disability Development Foundation (NDDF) campus in Mirpur, Dhaka, to commemorate the day. The event will feature a discussion meeting and cultural programme.

Social Welfare Ministry Adviser Sharmeen Soneya Murshid is expected to attend the programme as the chief guest, while Secretary Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf will preside over the event. Persons with disabilities and students from different institutions will participate in the fair and its activities.

The announcement was made through an official notification from the National Disability Development Foundation under the Ministry of Social Welfare.
