Bangladesh to Celebrate Winter with Nationwide Festivals

Habiganj:Festivals will be held throughout Bangladesh to mark the coming winter, announced State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khaiyam made this announcement during the closing ceremony of a three-day fine arts exhibition, workshop, and painting competition at Habiganj Shilpakala Academy.

The minister emphasized the importance of keeping cultural practices vibrant across the country year-round. He revealed plans for cultural festivals to be hosted nationwide during the next winter, aiming to celebrate the enduring culture of rural Bengal.

The event was chaired by Habiganj's deputy commissioner Dr. GM Sarfaraz, with additional contributions from additional police superintendent Prabhas Kumar Singh, former principal of Habiganj Government Women's College Jahanara Begum, district JASAS president Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, and painter Abhijit Chowdhury.
