Sharjah:Bangladesh off-spinner Aliss Al Islam has been reported for a suspected bowling action during the tri-Series match against Afghanistan on Wednesday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a press release stating that the match officials' report raised concerns about the legality of the 29-year-old's bowling action.

Aliss, who is often referred to as a mystery spinner in the domestic circuit, made his One Day International (ODI) debut in this match. He had a challenging performance, going wicket-less in his 8.3 overs spell and conceding 47 runs. As a result of the match, Bangladesh was defeated by Afghanistan by seven wickets, leading to their exit from the tri-series tournament.

The ICC has indicated that Aliss will undergo an Independent Assessment of his bowling action at an ICC Accredited Testing Centre, in compliance with the ICC Illegal Bowling Action Regulations.
