Dhaka:Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon congratulated the Bangladesh team for their achievement at the International Physics Olympiad, urging them to prepare for leadership roles in the country's future.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks during a courtesy call by the medal-winning team at the International Mother Language Institute.
Minister Milon emphasized the importance of engaging in co-curricular activities alongside academic excellence, stating that these talented students represent the future of Bangladesh. He expressed optimism about their potential for greater success on the international stage.
The 56th International Physics Olympiad took place in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 4 to July 12. The Bangladeshi team competed against participants from 95 countries, securing one silver medal, two bronze medals, and an honorable mention.
The meeting was attended by Bangladesh Physics Olympiad Committee General Secretary Foyez Ahmad Jahangir Masud and other officials.
