Dhaka:The Bangladesh Bank (BB) website is back online as of 8 a.m. today, after being offline for three days due to a global cybersecurity alert.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BB spokesperson and Executive Director Arif Hossain Khan confirmed the restoration of the website this morning.
The central bank had taken the website offline on October 22 in response to concerns about potential cyberattacks related to security vulnerabilities in PHP, a commonly used programming language for website development.
The website's inaccessibility allowed the central bank's IT team to monitor the situation and work on enhancing its security to prevent any cyber threats.
