Dhaka: The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the Inter-Base Athletics Competition of the Bangladesh Air Force was held today at the sports ground of Bangladesh Air Force Base Kurmitola. The event marked the conclusion of a three-day competition that saw participation from seven different teams within the Bangladesh Air Force. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, attended the final day's events as the Chief Guest. He distributed medals and trophies to the winners, celebrating the athletic prowess and competitive spirit displayed by the participants. The Bangladesh Air Force Base Kurmitola team emerged as the champions of the competition, securing 10 gold, 9 silver, and 10 bronze medals. Their remarkable performance was headlined by AC-2 Sabbir, who was adjudged the best athlete of the competition. The runner-up position was claimed by the Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque team, which earned 4 gold, 2 si lver, and 3 bronze medals. The event was graced by the presence of senior BAF officers, airmen, and other members who cheered and supported the athletes. The competition not only showcased athletic talent but also fostered camaraderie and teamwork among the participants, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship within the Bangladesh Air Force.
