Shanghai:Bangladesh has made a significant impact at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, achieving 10th place in Computer Software Testing and 15th in Mobile Application Development.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Bangladeshi participant Mashfi Rezoan Saikat was awarded the prestigious 'Best of Nation' title for his performance in Computer Software Testing at the event's closing ceremony. This accolade is determined by nomination from the head of the delegation and finalized through voting by member countries at the WorldSkills International General Assembly.
This year's competition saw participation from approximately 1,400 competitors from 68 countries, competing in 64 skill categories. Bangladesh's five-member delegation, led by Dr. Nazneen Kawsar Chowdhury, Executive Chairman (Secretary) of the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA), participated in the event's closing ceremony.
The NSDA delegation also engaged in bilateral meetings and discussions with international partners and skills development organizations. These discussions concentrated on enhancing Bangladesh's skills development framework, fostering international cooperation, and preparing for WorldSkills Japan 2028.
