Bangladesh achieves laudable success in health sector: Experts

Experts at a post-rally discussion today said Bangladesh has achieved a praiseworthy success in the health sector to ensure health services for every citizen on its way to build a healthier nation.

The Civil Surgeon’s Office organised the discussion at the conference room of the Civil Surgeon in the city in observance of the World Health Day-2022.

The Civil Surgeon’s Office in association with Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Office and other organizations chalked out programs to observe the day.

Earlier, health officials, employees, workers and volunteers, teachers, students, civil society members and socio-cultural activists participated in the colorful rally that paraded the city streets.

Civil Surgeon of Rangpur Dr. Shameem Ahmed presided over the discussion.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Ruhul Amin, Senior Health Education Officer Geeta Roy and District Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Superintendent Abdul Mottaleb, among others, addressed.

The speakers discussed various pragmatic steps taken by the government to reach health services to common people even during the Covid-19 pandemic situation for making the health services program successful in building a healthier nation.

The Civil Surgeon directed physicians, nurses, health and family planning workers, officials and employees of different departments under the Health and Family Welfare Ministry to ensure health services to every citizen for building a healthier nation.
