Bagerhat BNP Commemorates Khaleda Zia’s 81st Birth Anniversary with Doa Mahfil

Bagerhat: Bagerhat district unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today organized a milad and doa mahfil at Swadhinata Udyan marking the 81st birth anniversary of the party’s chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Prayers were offered seeking her good health and long life.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the programme was presided over by district BNP convener Engineer ATM Akram Hossain Talim. Present at the event were BNP executive committee member Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, executive member Advocate Wahiduzzaman Dipu, district BNP coordinator MA Salam, and member secretary Mozaffar Rahman Alam, among others.



Speakers at the event highlighted that Khaleda Zia has consistently played a determined role for the country during the political movements. They stated that despite facing imprisonment, oppression, and torture, she has never surrendered to injustice.



The milad and doa were conducted by Maulana Md Abu Bakr Siddique, with Prof Hadiuzzaman Hero moderating the event. Similar programmes were also organized at nine upazila and three municipal BNP offices in the district.
