Dhaka: Youth and Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sojib Bhuiyan has emphasized the critical role of the young generation in taking up leadership positions across various sectors in Bangladesh in the coming years. Addressing a fresher’s reception at Government Ashek Mahmud College virtually from Dhaka, he highlighted the importance of preparing the youth to lead the nation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Asif Mahmud stressed the efforts of the interim government in ensuring youth participation across different sectors. He underscored the achievements of a new Bangladesh through a mass movement and expressed the commitment to take responsibility for the country’s future.
Mahmud further remarked on the vision of building a new Bangladesh by overcoming fascism, urging the new generation to be ready to realize this dream. The fresher’s reception was organized by Government Ashek Mahmud College for newly admitted students of Class XI for the academic year 2024-2025.
The event was chaired by the Principal of
the college, Prof Md Harun or Rashid, and was attended by the general secretary of the college teachers’ association, Mohammad Rezaul Karim, along with senior government officials who also spoke on the occasion.
