Army Chief Meets Chief Adviser to Discuss Eid-ul-Fitr Security Measures

Dhaka: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna here today. The meeting focused on discussing security measures for Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, General Waker-uz-Zaman briefed the chief adviser on the comprehensive security strategies implemented by the army to ensure safety and order during Eid-ul-Fitr. He detailed the measures taken to manage security at key locations such as launch terminals, train stations, and bus stands, as stated in a press release from the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).



Furthermore, the Chief Adviser was informed about the Bangladesh Army’s plans to organize Iftar and Doa-Mahfil in all cantonments across the country in honor of those injured in the July mass uprising. This initiative is part of the army’s broader efforts to engage with the community and provide support during the festive period.



In a gesture of goodwill, General Waker-uz-Zaman extended early Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Dr Yunus. The Chief Adviser, in turn, commended the Bangladesh Army for their professionalism and dedication. He also provided guidance on future activities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining sovereignty and security.



Professor Yunus expressed his confidence that the army will continue to perform its duties with unwavering professionalism and commitment, ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
