Army Chief Completes Official Visit to Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman returned home on Thursday after completing a four-day official visit to Malaysia. During his visit, he attended key events and engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral defense relations.



According to United News of Bangladesh, General Waker-Uz-Zaman represented Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security Asia (NATSEC ASIA) 2026 Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. These prominent events provided a platform for defense and security discussions among international representatives.



In addition to attending the exhibitions, the Army Chief participated in the 8th Putrajaya Forum, which focused on ‘ASEAN Security at the Edge of Emerging Technologies.’ This forum was an opportunity to explore the implications of technological advancements on regional security.



The visit also included meetings with Malaysian defense and security officials. Discussions covered a range of topics including defense cooperation, joint training, and collaborative initiatives between the two nations. These meetings aimed to strengthen military ties and foster mutual collaboration.
