DHAKA: The Badminton Tournament-2024, organized by the office of the Senior Finance Controller (Army), concluded with a thrilling final match at the SFC (Army) premises in Dhaka Cantonment. The tournament saw the Controller General Defence Finance (CGDF) team crowned as champions after a closely contested match against the SFC Army Log Area team.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this event marked the first time the SFC (Army) office organized such a tournament, featuring participation from both men's and women's teams from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and 12 offices in Dhaka, all under the auspices of the Defense Finance Department (DFD). The competition aimed to foster physical and mental development through sports.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Comptroller General of Accounts SM Rezvi, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Rezvi encouraged the continuation of such events, emphasizing their importance for personal development and well-being.
Dr. Tanzina Islam, representing the SFC (Army), presided over the closing ceremony, which was attended by various Senior Finance Controllers, Finance Controllers, and employees from different levels of the DFD Command, highlighting the event's significance within the military community.
