Sylhet: Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and Labour and Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury today expressed his commitment to serving the people diligently. ‘The people have elected me with a huge margin of votes and the Prime Minister has entrusted me with the ministerial responsibilities. I will work with all my heart to uphold their trust,’ said Chowdhury while addressing local people and officials at the MAG Osmani International Airport.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after exchanging greetings with officials from various government departments and party leaders, Chowdhury expressed his gratitude to the public. He sought cooperation from everyone to perform his duties with honesty and dedication in the future. He emphasized the importance of the large expatriate population in his constituency and highlighted that the party’s election manifesto prioritized this issue. Plans are being formulated to address these concerns with actions set to commence promptly.
Regarding the Sylhet-Manchester flight, the minister assured reporters of a forthcoming meeting with ministers and Members of Parliament from the Sylhet division to address the district’s long-standing issues. Effective collective measures will be taken to resolve these problems.
