The US and its European allies are playing duel

game over Bangladesh as on one hand, they are constantly questioning

Bangladesh’s human rights and labour standards, on the other hand, they are

issuing statement supporting Dr Mohammad Yunus, who is found guilty of

violating labour laws and depriving labourers of their owing.

“American imperialism and its European allies are constantly questioning

human rights and labour standards of our country. Here issuing statements in

support of Dr Yunus who deprived laborers of their owing is tantamount to

double standard,” reads a statement of Workers Party issued here today.

It said they are disrespecting Bangladesh’s existing laws and democracy by

showcasing Dr Yunus as a super human. They are making evil attempts to put a

Noble laureate, who is found guilty of committing moral turpitude offenses,

above the laws of Bangladesh, the statement added.

Attempts are being made to attain particular targets by putting a special

pressure on Bangladesh by issuing a statement in the name of 160 individuals

involving Noble laureates and politicians of different countries including

the US and Europe centering flag bearer of capitalism-Dr Yunus, it said.

Generally a Nobel laureate brings pride for a nation but here Yunus has been

found guilty of different charges including tax evasion and these incidents

proved that he failed to maintain his moral standard as he engaged himself

with illegal activities, the left-leaning party said.

It said if the entire episode is reviewed it will be clear that an evil

attempt is going on to create a new political crisis in Bangladesh in an

unconstitutional way. “American imperialism and its local cohorts are leading

the ill politics.”

After removing their masks, these evil elements are uniting anti-liberation

forces which is a grave concern for the nation, it said.

These so-called isolated civil society members and political parties will be

boycotted by the people again.

“We do believe the next general elections will be held in a free, fair and

peaceful manner and pro-liberation forces will be victorious again. We will

have to be united against all evil forces to keep intact the existing

democratic process,” the statement said.
