Ansar-VDP take programmes to celebrate Mujib Year in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA Bangladesh Ansar and VDP have taken up

various programmes to celebrate the Mujib Year, officially termed Mujib

Barsho, birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman successfully.

Upazila rally would be held at each of the seven upazilas in the district

through the active participation of 200 Ansar and VDP members and in this

way, a total of 1400 members of Ansar and VDP would take part in the upazila

rallies, said an official,

The life, works and philosophy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman would

be discussed elaborately in the rallies; the official said adding that

documentary films on Bangabandhu would be displayed at the public gathering

in the grass root level of the district.

Talking to the BSS, district commandant, Ansar and VDP M. Iftekharul Islam

said they were waiting for the day (March 17, 2020) when Mujib year would be

launched with festive mood and much enthusiasm.

All sub-ordinate officials and staff had been instructed to take

preparation and to do works seriously and dedicatedly as per the directives

of the high officials concerned to celebrate the Mujib Year in the district

effectively, he concluded.

The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced the

commemoration of 2020-2021 as the Mujib Year on the occasion of birth

centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Mujib Year would be celebrated at home and abroad from March 17, 2020

to March 26, 2021 in a befitting manner through holding various programmes.

To mark the Mujib Year, government and non-government organizations

including socio-cultural ones would arrange different programmes aimed at

helping the young generation of the country know the life and works of

Bangabandhu.

The other purposes of the programmes are to inspire the young generation

so that they could be able to contribute to build Golden Bangla as dreamt by

the greatest Bangali of all times Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
