Sunamganj: Another case has been filed against former Planning Minister MA Mannan and 48 others with Jagannathpur Thana of the district. Officer-in-Charge of Jagannathpur Thana, Mohammad Moklesur Rahman Akand, confirmed the filing of the case.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirpur Union BNP President Abdur Noor filed the case on Tuesday night, November 19. Noor accused MA Mannan of instigating members of Awami League, Chhatra League, and Jubo League to attack the Mirpur Union BNP office on the Jagannathpur-Sylhet road on November 17.
The case also accuses 25-30 unnamed individuals. This recent filing comes after a previous case was lodged against the former Planning Minister on September 2. Mannan was granted bail in that earlier case on October 9 of this year.
