All set to celebrate Pahela Boishakh in M’singh

All sorts of preparations have already been completed to celebrate 'Pahela Boishakh', the first day of the Bengali New Year-1430, amid traditional festivities in the district tomorrow.

District administration, different socio-cultural organisations and political parties have organized elaborate programmes to mark the day in the district.

Mymensingh district administration will begin the day with a colourful procession and Mangal Shobhajatra, which will start from Mukul Niketan High School premises and end at Boishakhi Manch in Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Park in the morning.

Mymensingh district administration will organize a drawing and essay competition for children on the occasion.

Improved diets will be served at local hospitals, jails and orphanages on the occasion.

Upazilas of the district will carry out similar programmes in line with the national programme.

Mymensingh district police has taken three tire security measures to ensure security for the people who will celebrate the day amid various programmes, superintendent of police Masum Ahmed Bhuiyan said.
