AL Leader Arrested in Mymensingh Under Anti-Terrorism Act

Mymensingh: Police in a drive arrested former councilor and panel mayor-2 of Mymensingh City Corporation Mahbubur Rahman Dulal under the Anti-Terrorism Act early this morning. A police team conducted a drive in the Akua area of the city around 3 am and arrested Dulal, assistant organizing secretary of Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League, from his residence.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station Shafiqul Islam Khan stated that Mahbubur Rahman Dulal has been arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act on specific allegations. Despite allegations of involvement in criminal activities against him, he used to move around in public, which had become a cause of concern for the common people.



The arrest of Dulal marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address security concerns in the region. Authorities have been vigilant in monitoring activities that could potentially threaten public safety, and this arrest underscores their commitment to upholding law and order.
