Dhaka: Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) today launched a tree plantation campaign coinciding with the National Tree Plantation Programme-2025 to enrich botanical resources and maintain the ecosystem in the country, an ISPR statement said here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan inaugurated the programme by planting saplings at the Air Headquarters premises. The initiative is part of the Tree Plantation Programme-2025, which is being observed under the national slogan ‘Porikolpito Bonayon Kori, Sobuj Bangladesh Gori’.
During the event, principal staff officers of Air Headquarters participated by planting various saplings, and senior BAF officials were also present. The campaign aims to promote the planting of fruit-bearing, ornamental, forestry, and medicinal saplings across all BAF bases and units.
