Air Defence Radar Inaugurated at Bogura Radar Unit of Bangladesh Air Force

Bogura: The inauguration ceremony of the newly installed GM 403M Air Defense Radar at the Bogura Radar Unit of the Bangladesh Air Force was held today. The event was graced by the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, who served as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the air defense radar.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the installation of the new radar is part of the ongoing modernization and development efforts within the Bangladesh Air Force. The force is consistently integrating new infrastructures and advanced equipment to enhance its operational capabilities. This newly installed air defense radar has now been formally added to the operational assets of the Air Force.



The Bangladesh Air Force, with its pledge of “Free shall we keep the sky of Bangladesh,” has taken another significant step forward with this development. The radar is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the air defense capabilities of the force. Furthermore, the incorporation of this advanced radar system is anticipated to significantly enhance the technological capacity of the Air Force.



The ceremony was also attended by senior military officers and other members of the Bangladesh Air Force.
