The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has formed a probe body to conduct an inquiry into the graft allegations surfaced against Benazir Ahmed, a former Inspector General of Police (IGP). 'The Commission has formed a three-member probe body to conduct inquiry into the allegations (against Benagir Ahmed),' ACC Secretary Khorsheda Yasmin told reporters at the ACC headquarters here today. She said on March 31 in 2024, a daily newspaper published reports on illegal wealth accumulated by Benegir Ahmed, while similar reports were aired in some private television channels on April 1 and 2 last. After the holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr, the full Commission at a meeting on April 18 decided to launch the probe against former IGP Benagir Ahmed, Yasmin said. Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
