Antalya: Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir has unveiled a new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, emphasizing a shift from traditional aid to capacity building, skills development, and technology transfer.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kabir presented the model, introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, during a plenary session titled ‘Shrinking Aid and Capacity Building’ in Turkiye. The session was attended by representatives from international organizations, including the United Nations (UN), Turkiye’s international implementing agency TIKA, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In his remarks, Kabir highlighted that reliance on traditional aid is no longer adequate in a rapidly changing global landscape. He urged countries to prioritize self-reliance by strengthening domestic capacities. Kabir underscored three key priorities: enhancing human skills for sustainable development, empowering women through education, and promoting medical technology transfer to improve healthcare systems.

Kabir called for a transformative framework centered on ‘Aid for Capacity Building, Skills Development, and Technology Transfer’ to address global development challenges amid declining aid flows.
