Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a charge sheet against Pritish Kumar Haldar, director of Anon Chemical Limited, for acquiring assets worth about Tk 4.84 crore beyond his known sources of income. The ACC Public Relations Department's Assistant Director Md Tanzir Ahmed disclosed the information to the media today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a case was filed against Pritish Kumar Haldar at the ACC's Integrated District Office, Dhaka-1, on December 1, 2022. The investigation found evidence that the accused, who is also the younger brother of controversial businessman P K Haldar, had acquired movable assets worth Tk 4,84,97,500 beyond his known sources of income.
The investigation also uncovered transactions totaling Tk 7,71,93,366.28 through an account with Bank Asia between October 8, 2018, and July 1, 2024. The ACC identified suspicious transactions involving him during the period from October 8, 2018, to November 19, 2019.
