Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an absconding convict in a drug case from Bholahat in Chapainawabganj district last night. The arrested was Md. Ariful Islam, 28, of Munshiganj village under Bholahat upazila of the district. Acting on detective information, an operation team of the RAB-5 conducted a raid at Borgachi Bazar under Bholahat upazila of the district around 10.30 pm and arrested him, RAB said. Later, the arrested person was handed over to the Bholahat Thana Police. Ariful was an accused of drugs case and sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Chapainawabganj court and he remained absconding since then, the sources added. Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
