Dakhil Scholarship Results Announced by Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board

Dhaka:The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has announced the results of merit and general scholarships based on the 2026 Dakhil examination outcomes. The announcement was made through a notice issued today by the board.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the scholarship lists were formulated following government rules and guidelines. Students who passed the examination with a GPA of 5 were considered for merit scholarships, while the minimum eligibility for any scholarship was set at a GPA of 3, excluding the fourth subject.

The scholarships are equally divided between male and female students, with 50 percent allocated to each gender. Additionally, the scholarships are distributed between the general and science groups at a 32 ratio, reflecting the proportion of candidates from these groups. Recipients will receive a one-time annual grant and monthly scholarships at designated rates for the duration of their courses.

Scholarship funds are to be transferred directly to students' bank accounts via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) under the Government-to-Person (G2P) payment system. Students are required to open bank accounts offering online banking within seven days of admission and provide their account numbers to their institutions.

The notice also emphasized that scholarship recipients will be exempt from tuition fees. Educational institutions are prohibited from charging these students monthly tuition fees, and disciplinary actions are outlined for any violations. Only regular candidates who passed on their first attempt are eligible for the scholarships, excluding irregular candidates from eligibility.
