Khulna:Police have filed a charge-sheet against 13 individuals in connection with the high-profile double murder case that took place in the court area of Khulna. The charge-sheet was submitted by Investigation Officer and Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Khulna Sadar Police Station, Md. Mizanur Rahman, at approximately 1230 pm on Wednesday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accused include Ejaz, Kamrul, Shuvo, Hasib, Roman, KawaMiraj, ChingriPalash, Saifi, Munna, LobiGazi, Imran, Arefin, and Rezaul Munshi Hridoy, all of whom are alleged members of the 'B Company' led by notorious criminal Grenade Babu.
The investigation revealed that the murders were a result of disputes related to drug trafficking, extortion, dominance, prior enmities, and other criminal activities. The night before the murders, a meeting allegedly took place at a private office of one of the accused, Imran, in Sener Bazar, Aichgati area of Rupsha upazila, where the plan was finalized.
On November 30, 2025, following their court appearance in an arms case, Hasib Howlader and Fazle Rabbi Rajon were attacked in front of the court premises. The assailants, acting on the planned attack, hacked and shot the two men, who were members of the Palash gang, resulting in their deaths.
