Dhaka:A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death by unknown assailants at Shahidnagar in the Lalbagh area of Dhaka on Sunday. The victim, identified as Biplab alias Farma Biplab, was a staff member at a fish shop and the son of Nazrul Islam.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the incident occurred around 2 p.m. near Baitul Fala Jam-e-Mosque, where three individuals attacked Biplab, stabbing him multiple times and leaving him dead at the scene, as reported by Abdus Selim Mia, sub-inspector of Lalbagh Police Station.
Police arrived at the scene following the attack and transported the body to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue at approximately 415 p.m. Reports indicate that Biplab succumbed to his injuries due to excessive bleeding.
Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the killing and are actively pursuing the apprehension of those responsible, according to SI Selim.
