Rajshahi:Charlotte Beckmann Finnestad, the Deputy Mayor of Kristiansand City, Norway, engaged in a courtesy meeting with Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, the Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), at the Nagar Bhaban office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere where both parties discussed various topics including mutual relations between the cities of Rajshahi and Kristiansand, focusing on education, culture, healthcare, and the welfare of children with special needs. They also covered information and technology, AI-based traffic management, urban development, and the exchange of experiences between the two cities, with an optimistic outlook on their collaboration.
Further emphasis was placed on strengthening the friendly relations between the two cities. The Deputy Mayor praised Rajshahi as a Green and Clean City. The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between the Deputy Mayor and the RCC Administrator as tokens of goodwill.
The meeting was attended by notable figures including Oda Oline Omadal, Adviser to the Deputy Mayor; Dag Qyulfvige, President of the Kristiansand-Rajshahi Friendship Committee; John Einar Kvam, Senior Adviser of Kristiansand City School; and others from both the Norwegian delegation and the Rajshahi City Corporation.
