Munshiganj:A 40-year-old man and his young daughter were tragically stabbed to death in Ramkrishnadi village, located in the Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj district. The incident occurred on Thursday, involving Golap Hossain and his six-year-old daughter, Tawba, both residents of the upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the attack took place on Wednesday night when Golap Hossain and his daughter were intercepted by a group of miscreants while returning home after visiting a brick kiln worker. The miscreants stabbed them indiscriminately, resulting in Tawba's immediate death, while Golap suffered severe injuries.
Golap Hossain was transported to a hospital in Keraniganj, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday afternoon. Law enforcement authorities, suspecting the attack was motivated by a land dispute, have arrested one individual and are actively pursuing others involved in the crime.
Alauddin Mia, the Officer-in-Charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station, confirmed the details of the incident and the ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
