Kotalipara:BNP lawmaker and Swachhasebak Dal President SM Jilani alleged that the defeated anti-liberation forces have joined forces with ousted 'fascists' to conspire against the country. He made these remarks while addressing an event marking the founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal at the Shilpakala Academy premises.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Jilani stated that the forces defeated in 1971 have re-emerged in Bangladesh, collaborating with fascist elements that previously governed the country for 17 years. He warned that these groups are spreading misinformation against the current elected government and urged vigilance to prevent further conspiracies.

Jilani also criticized the opposition leader in parliament for making contradictory statements inside and outside of parliament, suggesting a lack of support for the state of Bangladesh. The event was chaired by Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Ranjan Mallick and included speeches from other senior leaders and activists of the BNP, Jubo Dal, Swachhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal.

A colorful procession organized by the upazila unit of Jubo Dal preceded the event, parading through the main roads of the town to celebrate the organization's 48th founding anniversary. Prior to this political gathering, Jilani participated in a procession and discussion for World Handwashing Day at Bagan Uttarpara Government Primary School, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saif-ul-Arefin.
