Dhaka:Ahsan Habib, who had been serving as acting chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for nearly four months, has been appointed as the chairman of the revenue authority.
According to United News of Bangladesh, he has also been appointed as secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) on deputation under the 10 percent quota of the President, as per a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
The notification mentioned that Ahsan Habib will return to his parent cadre before retirement. Previously, on June 29, the government appointed Ahsan Habib as the acting NBR chairman and acting IRD secretary.
