Rajshahi:Rajshahi Zila Parishad distributed seven wheelchairs today to individuals with disabilities, indigent freedom fighters, and helpless patients. The initiative aims to facilitate mobility and ease the daily lives of these recipients.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the distribution event took place at the Zila Parishad administrator's office, where Administrator Advocate Ershad Ali Isha personally handed over the wheelchairs. During the event, Isha emphasized the moral responsibility of standing beside individuals with disabilities, underprivileged freedom fighters, and disadvantaged individuals.
He further remarked on the significance of wheelchairs, stating that they are not just tools for mobility but also play a crucial role in ensuring a normal life, promoting self-reliance, and reducing dependency on family members. Isha reiterated the commitment of Rajshahi Zila Parishad to support disadvantaged individuals and ensure they receive essential assistance.
The event was attended by Rajshahi Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Umme Fatima, Executive Officer Rozina Akter Chowdhury, Assistant Engineer Al Amin Mallik, along with other officials and employees.
