Dhaka:Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), Brigadier General Sultanul Afrain Zunaid, has emphasized the importance of discipline, honesty, and dedication among officers and employees of the department. He made these remarks during the 'DG's Darbar' held at the FSCD Headquarters.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Director General stressed the need for maintaining the chain of command and ensuring that all members of the department properly perform their responsibilities. He paid tribute to former directors general and officials who have contributed to the reputation of the FSCD and remembered those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The programme, which began at 930 am, was attended by officers and employees from various levels, both in person and online. Brigadier General Zunaid expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the organization and outlined his plans to improve operational activities and enhance service quality.
He praised firefighters for their operational sincerity and urged them to continue performing their duties professionally. The Director General also listened to concerns from officers and employees and expressed his commitment to addressing reasonable requests on a priority basis. The event was attended by directors, project directors, the Managing Director of the Welfare Trust, and officials and employees from Dhaka, with divisional deputy directors and district officers joining online.
