Dhaka:Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced an extension of the suspension of its flights from Dhaka to Riyadh and Dhaka to Dammam until November 4. This decision comes in response to ongoing attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia, with the airline emphasizing passenger safety as its top priority.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the suspension will remain effective according to Bangladesh's time and date. In a press release issued today, Biman advised passengers who need to travel urgently to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh to utilize Jeddah and Madinah international airports as alternative routes.

To meet the increased passenger demand, Biman has been operating two daily flights from Dhaka to Jeddah since October 16. These additional services on the Dhaka-Jeddah route will continue until November 4. Meanwhile, regular Dhaka-Madinah flights are ongoing, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The airline also stated that further decisions regarding the suspended flights to Riyadh and Dammam, as well as any revised flight schedules, will be announced after a thorough assessment of the situation. Passengers are encouraged to contact their nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales centre for the latest information on tickets, flight schedules, and other travel-related inquiries.
