Chuadanga:Cheques of financial assistance were distributed among underprivileged individuals, persons with disabilities, and the sick and homeless in Sadar and Alamdanga upazilas of the district today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the distribution event took place at the Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium, organized by the Bangladesh National Social Welfare Parishad. Masud Parvez Russell, Member of Parliament for Chuadanga-1 constituency, handed over cheques worth Taka 10,000 each to 15 beneficiaries, comprising four from Sadar upazila and 11 from Alamdanga upazila.
During his speech as the chief guest, Russell emphasized the government's commitment to supporting disadvantaged groups in society. He stated that to enhance Bangladesh's GDP, it is essential to make underprivileged individuals financially self-reliant.
