Dhaka:Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed today declared that the government would not tolerate any attempts by fugitive criminals or fallen fascist forces to create anarchy or destabilize the country.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Minister emphasized that those responsible for genocide or who have fled after the mass uprising would not be allowed to exploit the situation or create instability in the country. His comments were made during a briefing on the successful celebration of the Durga Puja.

The Home Minister's remarks coincided with discussions on social media regarding former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's potential return to Bangladesh in December and her statements made from abroad. Ahmed noted that the government had repeatedly requested Sheikh Hasina's return to Bangladesh through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following legal procedures and the extradition treaty with the neighboring country.

Ahmed reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining law and order and preventing any group from creating disorder. He warned that no opportunity would be given to destabilize the country, and the government would take firm action against any such attempts. The briefing addressed current political developments and the government's stance against unrest.
