Chattogram:The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has undertaken enforcement operations at the Patiya Sub-Registry Office in Chattogram and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in Dhaka, addressing allegations of government revenue evasion and public procurement irregularities.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these operations were executed by teams from the ACC's Chattogram-2 District Office and its headquarters, under the commission's Enforcement Unit. The ACC's interventions focused on different allegations at each location.

At the Patiya Sub-Registry Office, the ACC team probed claims that officials and employees colluded to cause financial losses to the state by registering property deeds at undervalued prices. This involved scrutinizing the office and gathering pertinent documents. Initial findings suggested revenue evasion through the omission of information regarding a four-storey building during deed registration.

In Dhaka, at the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, the ACC team investigated alleged irregularities in the tendering process. The focus was on efforts to manipulate tender evaluations, aiming to award government contracts to specific contractors. The ACC team visited relevant sites and collected documents to support further investigation.

The ACC stated that all records obtained during these operations will be subjected to thorough examination, after which detailed reports will be prepared and submitted to the commission for subsequent action.
