Dhaka:Dr Md Kamruzzaman has officially taken over as the new secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division. He was welcomed by the Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam at the ministry today, as announced in a ministry release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Kamruzzaman is an officer from the 17th batch of the administration cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS). His appointment as PTD secretary was confirmed through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on October 18, 2026.
Prior to this role, Dr Kamruzzaman served as the rector (secretary) of the National Academy for Development Administration (NADA). He began his tenure at NADA on February 1, 2026, and was promoted to the post of secretary to the government on January 29 of the same year.
