Accra:Bangladesh Medical University Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) observed World Spine Day and World Osteoporosis Day, focusing on spinal health and the prevention of bone loss to raise public awareness about bone health.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the university celebrated World Spine Day under the theme 'Spine for Health' and World Osteoporosis Day with the theme 'Build, Protect and Strengthen Your Bones.' The observance included a colorful rally organized by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery on the university premises.
Following the rally, a discussion took place in the classroom of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. BMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. FM Siddiqui attended as the chief guest, while Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) Professor Dr. Mujibur Rahman Howlader was present as the special guest. The event was also attended by deans of various faculties, department chairmen, and other university personnel.
