Savar:Savar Cantonment Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reaffirmed Bangladesh's steadfast commitment to safeguarding its national interests, sovereignty, and dignity. He emphasized that these principles will remain the country's foremost priorities as it seeks to enhance friendships and cooperation with other nations based on mutual respect and equality.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister made these remarks during a National Standard Awarding Ceremony at Savar Cantonment. Several battalions and regiments were recognized at the event for their professional excellence with the National Standard, which the Prime Minister described as a symbol of history, heritage, discipline, and commitment to the country.
The Prime Minister highlighted the evolving nature of warfare in a changing global security environment, noting the importance of cyberspace, outer space, drones, artificial intelligence, and electronic warfare in national security. He stated that work is underway to advance Bangladesh's defense preparedness to keep pace with these changes.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister reiterated the government's efforts to build a more technology-driven, competent, and modern armed force. He also stressed the importance of establishing a domestic defense industry to produce essential weapons and equipment while underscoring that technology should complement, not replace, human capacity in defense operations.
