Aminbazar:Prime Minister Tarique Rahman highlighted the importance of proper planning and willpower in creating clean, green, and environment-friendly areas. He pointed to the visible improvements in Aminbazar over the past two months as a testament to this approach.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister made these remarks while inaugurating a greening and beautification programme by planting saplings along the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Aminbazar. He stressed the role of local residents in preserving the environment and mentioned that their cooperation is essential for resolving issues related to environmental pollution and waste management.
Rahman expressed gratitude towards Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam and officials from the Local Government Ministry for their dedicated efforts in implementing these initiatives. He emphasized that while the government has taken steps to improve the area, ongoing maintenance requires active participation from the community.
The Prime Minister urged the Dhaka DC to extend greening activities to other areas within the Dhaka district. He also suggested engaging with mill and factory owners along the Aricha highway to maintain cleanliness and natural beauty in their areas. Rahman proposed collaborative planning with relevant authorities to address waste accumulation and further enhance the area's beauty.
Additionally, he called on local parliament members to support these efforts, hopeful that the joint initiative of public representatives and the district administration will address waste management and environmental challenges. Rahman concluded by praising the Dhaka DC's example, encouraging other districts to undertake similar environmental and beautification projects.
